The Baltimore City Public School System is opening up a series of new 6-12th grade schools. The planners of Civitas have jumped on this opportunity to create a new legacy in Baltimore.
Civitas will be a place that knows that Baltimore is a beautiful, pwerful, and challenging city. It is an old and a new city, with a diverse and proud citizenry who demand better things for themselves and for future generations. We know we cannot do this without a well educated and engaged citizenry, empowered to demand and meet high standards.
Students at Civitas will use the city itself to make themselves a generation prepared to carry their communities into the future.
